Beaches

White sand, palm trees and crystal clear blue water is what comes to most people's mind first when thinking about Mauritius. But the island offers a wide range of quite different beaches, anyway they are all worth a visit. Here is a glimpse of the most beautiful beaches of Mauritius... and maybe even the whole world.

Flic en Flac

Belle Mare

Ile aux Cerfs

Flic en Flac

Flic en Flac (West): The 5km long white sandy beach is fringed by trees, in which shade you can enjoy a fresh coconut or food from one of the many trucks around.

Belle Mare

Belle Mare (East): Enjoy miles and miles of white spotless sand that you will mostly share with locals. Shops and foodtrucks are rare but you can find a nice restaurant.

Ile aux Cerfs

Ile aux Cerfs (East): Beautiful white sand paired with black stones surround the little island that offers food, activities and a relaxing beach day.

Hibiscus

Hibiscus Beach (North): This beach can be reached taking a short walk from Pereybere across the small rocks at its southern end. You can enjoy an uncrowded beautiful bay.

Pereybere

Pereybere (North): The remarkable small cove, half-way between Grand Baie and Cap Malheureux is one of the finest bathing spots on the island.

Blue Bay

Blue Bay (South): One of the most popular bathing spots on the island - an ideal spot for windsurfing and sailing, or simply enjoying the sunset.
